School Uniform

At Badsley Primary one of our core values is PRIDE.  We encourage our children to take pride in everything they do, including their appearance which is why we have a school uniform.  We ask parents and carers to support us in implementing this dress code.

We expect all our children to wear the correct school uniform.

  • Purple or white polo shirt (with or without a logo)
  • Purple or black sweatshirt or cardigan (with or without a logo)
  • Black or charcoal grey school trousers or skirt
  • Purple checked summer school dresses can be worn in the summer term
  • Black school shoes or plain black trainers.

For safety reasons we ask that children wear sensible shoes - not flip flops, Crocs or shoes with a high heel.

For PE activities we ask that children wear black shorts, a white t-shirt and plimsolls or trainers. For outdoor PE in colder weather, dark tracksuit bottoms or leggings and a sweatshirt are required.  If your child has long hair, please ensure that they have a bobble to tie it back.

All removable clothing e.g. coats, wellies, bags should be clearly labelled. This does help us to identify them quickly if they are mislaid. This is especially important for items of school uniform.

Purchasing uniform with the school logo is optional.  If you would like to purchase items of uniform with the school logo on them, these can be bought from suppliers such as Pinders Schoolwear or Johnny D Schoolwear in Rotherham town centre or are available to order from their websites.

We would discourage children from wearing jewellery in school to prevent loss, damage or injury.  However, if children have pierced ears, we ask that only studs are worn.  All jewellery, including stud earrings, must be removed before PE, swimming and any other sports or games activities.

Support from our Uniform Bank

We do offer a 'Uniform Bank' where we have a supply of good quality second-hand school uniforms for parents to access. Please contact Mrs. Russell through the school office if you would like some.  Parents are invited to donate their child’s uniform when they no longer need it.  More information can be found on the flyer below.
