Healthy Schools

We are proud to announce that our school has achieved the prestigious Gold Healthy School Award. In July 2023, we received the Silver Award for our outstanding mental health work. Building on this success, we were honoured with the Gold Award in July 2024 for our exceptional commitment to Rights Respecting Schools initiatives, demonstrating leadership and support to our partnership schools.

Healthy Schools Badsley Breakfast Bar Competition

As part of Healthy Schools Week 2025, we challenged the children of Badsley to design their very own healthy Badsley Breakfast Bar – and we were absolutely blown away by their creativity and enthusiasm. The response was incredible, with nearly 200 brilliant entries. Each one demonstrated fantastic imagination and a thoughtful understanding of what makes a healthy start to the day. We are proud to share a selection of the amazing creations, along with our winning entries too. Rotherham Tesco kindly funded the hampers, which helped bring the competition to life. Their support was greatly appreciated by our school community.

Rewild Rotherham

Behind the scenes, our dedicated staff have been quietly transforming the old allotment space into a vibrant gardening project in support of Rewild Rotherham. Our goal is to turn this area into a naturally wild space, guided by a wealth of research showing that rewilding is one of the best ways to help our environment and tackle the climate crisis.

From carefully measuring the space to planning thoughtful designs, we’re making steady progress and aiming for awards along the way — so watch this space grow! Looking ahead, we’re excited to involve our children in creating a safe, welcoming haven for wildlife and the flourishing of wild plants. Together, we’re nurturing a greener future.
