Y5 Earth and Space
The Year 5 children took their science learning outside to explore the distance between the planets. They used toilet roll to create a scaled diagram on the school field, each piece of toilet roll represented 16 million km! They couldn't believe the distance between the first four rocky planets and the last four gas giants.
Y6 Steady Hand Game Project
Our Year 6 children have combined their science and DT skills to create these fantastic electrical steady-hand games. They applied their knowledge of circuits to create games that buzzed on contact. The Year 4 children then tested out the games and gave feedback.
BRITISH SCIENCE WEEK 2025 - ADAPT AND CHANGE
Congratulations to our KS2 competition winners! These scientist research posters were crammed full of interesting facts and presented beautifully. We hope you enjoy your science prizes!
During British Science Week, each year group has explored a different aspect of 'change and adaptation'. The children have taken part in exciting investigations: from bug hunts, to ice hands and fitness tests. They have learned how the world is constantly changing and that living things need to adapt in order to survive. Here are some of our investigations:
